Silicone rubber mold making process
Raw Materials and Recipe
Use specialized mold silicone rubber, which is sold in a dual-packaging format, with component a being the rubber compound and component b being the catalyst. When preparing, consider the room temperature, mold strength, and hardness to determine the weight ratio of components a and b. When the room temperature is between 20-25 degrees Celsius, the ratio is a:b=100:1.5. When the room temperature is low (but not below 10 degrees Celsius), appropriately increase component b by 0.1-0.3 parts. When the room temperature is higher, reduce component b by 0.1-0.3 parts. The specific method is to determine the total amount based on the mold volume, then accurately weigh components a and b in proportion, mix them evenly in a container, and that's it.
Mold Making:
Pour the prepared material onto the clean object to be replicated. To save material and produce a thinner mold, it can also be applied in several coats. To increase the tensile strength of the mold, gauze or similar materials can be pasted on. Under room temperature conditions of 20 degrees Celsius, it can cure into an elastomer within 2 hours and be ready for use after one day.
