① Inaccurate adjustment of the spacing between the two rollers. The causes and troubleshooting methods are as follows.
a. The safety plate in the roller spacing adjustment device is severely worn or damaged, and the safety gasket should be replaced.
b. The nut or screw rod used for spacing adjustment is severely worn, and the nut and screw rod should be inspected and replaced with new ones.
② High heat at the roller shaft neck, with temperature exceeding 120℃. The causes and troubleshooting methods are as follows.
a. The working temperature of the roller is too low, and the feeding amount is too large, causing the roller's working transverse pressure to be overloaded for a long time, resulting in damage to the lubricating oil film of the bearing liner, which is not properly lubricated; reduce the amount of raw material on the roller surface and appropriately increase the temperature of the roller.
b. The lubricating oil supply to the shaft neck is insufficient or the oil pump's delivery pressure is insufficient, or the oil delivery pipe may be blocked; stop the machine for maintenance and repair the lubricating oil supply system.
c. The cooling water supply to the bearing is insufficient, and the water flow rate is too low. Dredge the cooling water pipeline and increase the supply of cooling water.
d. The working surface of the bearing liner is severely worn, making the sliding fit surface with the shaft neck rough; inspect and replace the bearing liner.
③ The roller spacing cannot be adjusted smaller. The causes and troubleshooting methods are as follows.
a. The diameter of the roller working surface is too small, causing the speed ratio gear to mesh dryly; the gear tooth tip height can be reduced or a larger diameter roller can be replaced.
b. The bearing liner is severely worn, and the bearing liner should be replaced.
④ The causes and troubleshooting methods for the sudden stop of rotation of two rollers are as follows
a. The roller is overloaded, and the spacing between the working surfaces of the two rollers is too small. The roller spacing should be appropriately increased.
b. The temperature of the roller working surface is low, and the raw materials on the roller surface should be removed. Continue to supply steam to heat and warm up the roller.
c. The amount of material added to the roller working surface is too large, and the amount of material on the roller surface should be reduced.
d. The lubricating oil at the shaft neck is insufficient, causing the bearing bush to seize; the bearing liner should be stopped for maintenance, and the oil pipeline should be unblocked.
